3 Day Advanced Shop Steward Local Course
October 15th, 16th, and 17th, 2015
8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
at 4530 Dawson St., Burnaby, BC
By Skytrain: 1.5 blocks south of Brentwood Skytrain down the stairs off Willingdon Ave.
By Car: turn right down the ramp (after the shop fronts) on Dawson St. to the back of the building
Application Deadline: Friday, October 2nd, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. (noon)
Includes: Deeper exploration of rights and the role of the Shop Steward, in-depth Collective Agreement knowledge, grievance investigation, writing comprehensive grievances, and a chance to share work floor experiences with one another
Eligibility: Members who have taken the Basic Shop Steward Course, preference will be given to those who have not taken the Advanced Shop Steward course before.

You will be booked off for your entire shift if you are regularly scheduled to work on the course days. Please ensure your course application includes your regularly scheduled shift and work area/depot.
