Workplace bullying refers to repeated unreasonable actions from an individual(s) directed towards an employee (or a group of employees), which are intended to intimidate, degrade, humiliate or undermine. Thus, potentially creating a risk to the health and safety of the recipient.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, some full-time and part-time Urban members chose to cancel their annual leave that was scheduled between March 22 and May 30, 2020. As a result of this, many members now have vacation weeks that are not scheduled in the remaining 2020-2021 Vacation Leave schedule.
Today we received the long awaited interest arbitration decision from Arbitrator Elizabeth MacPherson. Below is a summary of this decision and how it will impact Urban Ops employees.

Pride events are a beautiful and complex union of celebration and resistance. Over the decades, Pride festivals and parades have done so much for visibility, community organizing, and bringing LGBTQ issues and achievements into the spotlight.
CUPW has received Arbitrator Elizabeth MacPherson’s decision regarding the collective agreements for our two bargaining units at Canada Post: Urban Operations and Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers.
Whether we are cleaners, postal and delivery workers, medical dispatchers or in other important roles, CUPW members have been on the front lines performing vital services to the public during the COVID-19 crisis.
The National Executive Board has authorized the purchase of non-medical masks for each of our members. CUPW Locals will be receiving shipments of the masks over the coming weeks; however, distribution will take some time given the large volume of the order.
