Come On Down To Show Your Support!

The Vancouver Local would like to extend a warm invitation to all CUPW members of the LGBT community, straight allies, families, and friends to join us at the Vancouver Pride Parade.

• The parade starts at noon (12:00 p.m.) at Robson and Thurlow.

• We will be marching with the CUPW banner as part of the multi union contingent.

• Be there around 12:00 p.m. showing all of your colors, dressed up, and ready to have fun and show your PRIDE!!!!!

Pacific & Prairie Regions – PEL 5-day Education Seminar “Advanced Shop Steward” Course & “Turtle Island” Course

The Pacific Region has announced that the next 5-day Education Seminars will be held in conjunction with the Prairie Region in Gimli, Manitoba from September 18 to 23, 2016. These are Paid Education Leave (PEL) courses so we are limited to twenty (20) participants in total or ten (10) in each class per Region.

TEMPS AND CASUALS HAVE FULL RIGHTS ON THE PICKET LINE!

Over the next few weeks, strike votes will be conducted across the country. We hold these votes to show the Bosses that we are united in our demands for ZERO ROLLBACKS of our Collective Agreement. If, after this, the corporation still refuses to bargain with us, there is a very real possibility that we, as a Union, could be on the picket line in the upcoming months.
