Over the next few weeks, strike votes will be conducted across the country. We hold these votes to show the Bosses that we are united in our demands for ZERO ROLLBACKS of our Collective Agreement. If, after this, the corporation still refuses to bargain with us, there is a very real possibility that we, as a Union, could be on the picket line in the upcoming months. In this round of negotiations between CUPW and Canada Post the future of our pension plan is a major issue.
Canada Post is telling us that our pension plan is in bad shape. But this is not true. Here are the facts
The Vancouver Local receives a large number of grievance investigation forms from members on a weekly basis. All too often, the forms are not fully completed or there are not enough details in the description of what happened. Some forms are missing personal information about the grievor, full names of supervisors, witnesses or other workers involved, supporting documents, etc.
