DEMOCRACY IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR

DEMOCRACY IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR – JOIN US TO RALLY AND MARCH FOR FAIR ELECTIONS

Stephen Harper hopes the election fraud issue will just fade away.  Don’t let him get away with it!

Concerned individual Canadians and organizations including Leadnow, DemocracyCanada and the Council of Canadians invite you to join us once again in the streets of Vancouver to demand a full investigation into the Robo-calls scandal.

SATURDAY MARCH 31 – 2 PM
THE VANCOUVER ART GALLERY

We must restore the integrity of the election process and defend our democratic right to a government freely and honestly chosen.  We demand answers and the restoration of democracy: through Elections Canada, a Parliamentary investigation, an independent inquiry, a Royal Commission or legal challenges.

Many activists, political representatives and labour spokespeople have already spoken out. More are joining in every day. Final speakers list for the rallies before and after the march will be announced as soon as possible. Make your voice heard – as we march – and at the open mic. Speak our for integrity, democracy, fair and free elections.

Canadians will not be silent.  We will not be passive. We will not go away!

Retired Members 2012 AGM

Retired or retiring soon? Never before in our history has it been more important for retired CUPW members to stay active with the Union. As we all witnessed during this latest round of collective bargaining, the benefits of the retirees are and will continue to be under attack. The struggle really does continue.

We strongly urge all of our retired members to participate in the Canadian Union of Postal Workers Metro Vancouver Retired Members organization. They have recently launched a web site (retired.cupwvancouver.org) and are inviting all retired CUPW members to their 2012 Annual General Meeting. It will take place on Friday, March 23rd, 2012, beginning at one pm, at the Lions Den Lounge, 770 Commercial Drive, East Vancouver, B.C.

The CUPW Retired Members organization can be reached at: [email protected].
