Plant gate elections for Executive positions and Shop Stewards will take place between January 15 – 20, 2012. An advance poll will be held at the Union hall on january 13, 2012. There will also be a post poll at the Union Hall for last minute voters on January 20, 2012.

The Balloting Committee has issued a complete schedule of polling times for all work locations

MSC “Delay” of Mail 5-day Suspension – Reinstated

December 1st was a sweet day for all MSCs, but especially for an MSC driver who works out of the VPDC.

In July 2011 the Grievor was working on a schedule that consists of driving a 5 ton truck back and forth between the VPDC and the VMPP. There is another schedule that drives in the opposite direction between the two plants, and together these two schedules make up what is known as the interplant shuttle.

The Regional Office has purchased ten seats in support of the event that will be hosted at the Burnaby Firefighters Club.

NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE

Under Article 4.07 of our National Constitution, I am hereby issuing call for interested members who would like to be considered by the National Executive Board to sit on the National Human Rights Committee. The role of this committee is outlined in Articles 4.07 to 4.10. The committee meets once a year, generally in Ottawa, for 3 days per meeting. Lost wages and expenses are paid by the National union.
