WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 2011
EVERY VANCOUVER LOCAL CUPW MEMBER SCHEDULED TO WORK ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 2011 SHOULD REPORT TO WORK FOR THEIR REGULAR START TIME TO PERFORM THEIR NORMAL DUTIES. EVERY WORKER SHOULD CONTINUE TO REPORT TO WORK AS SCHEDULED UNLESS YOU ARE ON LEAVE.
The C.U.P.W. National Executive Board decides when a Rotating Strike, or an All Out Strike is called:
- Rotating Strikes cause the employer to guess when and where the workplace will be shut down. The instructions of the N.E.B. must be followed for effective strike action. In a Rotating Strike, your C.U.P.W. Local could be called out for one, or more days. You may not know if you are Called-out or Called-in until you arrive at the workplace for the start of your shift.
- When the N.E.B. calls an All Out or General Strike, every Local is informed to carry out Strike Action.
In Solidarity,
Vancouver Local Strike Committee
