If you or any of your eligible dependents (your spouse, or your children under 18, or 18-25 year of age, full time at post secondary education) need glasses, get them now. This is because the current four year period for our vision plan ends on December 31, 2018. If you have not used your entitlement for this current four year period it will evaporate.
A new four year period begins on January 1, 2019, but if you have any money left in your vision plan it will not carry over.
In other words if you have not purchased or do not purchase glasses for you and your eligible dependents by December 31, 2018 you are giving up to $620.00 for yourself and for each of your eligible dependents.
Since a new four year period begins on January 1, 2019 and runs to December 31, 2022, you are entitled to get glasses for you and your eligible dependents in that four year period. Your entitlement will not increase to reflect the amount you did not spend in the previous four year period.
