Postal Workers across the country are planning to have May 30th as Day of Action to organize the work floors to take back the power. This will send a strong message to the boss that the work floor belongs to the workers.
As you may have seen by now, on one hand Canada Post has shown a bigger deficit and on other hand they have given themselves an enormous number of big bonuses, while some of our members are struggling on various issues like Bullying and Harassment, Article 54 accommodations and an ongoing battle on more day shift positions.
During the negotiations we all need to stand together in Solidarity and show the boss that we are ready to “FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT”. On May 30th we are asking our members to take part in the day of Action and organize the work floors. You can have work floor meetings, black T shirt day etc. and loads of pictures to support our negotiators.
The next few months will be very important for us, we will need to show the boss that we DESERVE better. Going forward we will be having monthly day of actions in our local.
On May 30th We will show the employer that Vancouver local is ready to take on this struggle.
