As I’m sure you are all very well aware, Covid 19 has changed the way we work, live, and interact with each other. One of those changes has included the way we conduct our meetings. For the past 20 months we have been having our General Membership Meetings over the virtual platform Zoom.
This Platform has been very valuable to us to keep our meetings going from month to month while following the Provincial Health guidelines.
However, as of February 16th, 2022 the Government of British Columbia has changed the guidelines to allow for full in person meetings.
Before the pandemic started our all of our General Membership Meetings were in person. We utilized Zoom with the understanding that when we were able to return to “normal” we would revert back to in person meetings.
The local executive meeting was held in person on March 8th, 2022. We will hold our April 12th, 2022 executive meeting in person as well.
Therefore, the Vancouver Local will be returning to in person meetings starting with the General Membership Meeting:

All General Membership Meetings from April onward will be held at the Union Hall located at the Maritime Labor Center, 1880 Triumph Street, Vancouver BC.
Bulletins will be sent out with the monthly date and agenda as per usual.
This has been a long time coming, and we hope to see you all in person on April 28th!
