Team Leaders removing bulletins at PPC

As you may all know I have been posting bulletins regarding some serious incidents we have had on shift 3.  On multiple occasions Canada Post has demanded we take it down.  Canada Post also warned the Union, if we do not stop posting the bulletins on the Union bulletin boards in that case they may end up interviewing/disciplining our members.

Let me make it clear, censoring our right to post something on our bulletin boards and website is a direct violation of the Collective Agreement.  We have the right to post whatever information we feel is important to our members.

36.02      BULLETIN BOARDS

(a)  Bulletin Boards Bulletin boards shall be provided by the Corporation at convenient locations for the use of the Union. These locations shall be determined through consultation.

(b) The contents of notices or other material posted on bulletin boards shall not require the prior approval of the Corporation.

(c) The contents of notices or other material posted on bulletin boards shall not be libellous or defamatory.

As I have mentioned in my previous bulletin that Some of the behaviors in shift 3 need to stop.  Bringing it to our members attention and what to do about it is significantly important to us as a whole.  We need to stand together to protect our members which the corporation is taking away from us, by censoring us on our own boards. They may try to take away our voice, but we will always stand together to protect and guide our members in need.

Do not get discouraged by the actions of your team leaders. Please do not hesitate to report further incidents to the local office or you can email at [email protected]

In Solidarity,

Anju Parmar , President                                                                        lb/CUPE-3338
